Subscription and billing

How the Early Bird subscription works, how billing is handled, and how to manage your subscription.

The Early Bird subscription

The studio runs on one subscription, called Early Bird. It is $30 per month, or $300 per year if you choose annual billing. Annual saves you $60 against twelve months of monthly billing. Subscribing unlocks everything we have built: unlimited artworks, custom domains, viewing rooms, invoicing, the blog and events feature set, sales tracking, multi-user team access, and priority support.

The price-lock promise

The price is yours for as long as you stay subscribed. Even after we add features, raise rates for new signups, or split the product into tiers later, your monthly or yearly rate does not change. Switching between monthly and yearly billing keeps the lock. Only cancelling and re-subscribing later would put you on whatever the rate is at that point.

Your free trial

Every new account begins with a 14-day Early Bird trial. The full feature set is unlocked from day one. No credit card is required to start the trial. On day fifteen you choose whether to subscribe. Nothing auto-charges.

What happens if you do not subscribe

If you reach the end of the trial without subscribing, your account moves to a read-only archive. Every artwork, contact, viewing room, and piece of data you created is preserved exactly as you left it. You can come back any time, subscribe, and the studio comes back to life. Nothing is deleted without you asking.

How to subscribe

Go to Settings > Billing and click Subscribe. Choose monthly or annual billing, enter your payment details, and confirm. Your subscription is active immediately. For annual billing, you are charged for the full year upfront.

Switching between monthly and annual billing

You can switch between monthly and annual billing at any time from Settings > Billing. The switch keeps your Early Bird price lock intact. We pro-rate the difference so you only pay for the time you actually used the previous billing period.

Cancelling your subscription

To cancel, go to Settings > Billing and click Cancel subscription. Your studio access remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account switches to the read-only archive described above. Your artworks, contacts, and data are preserved.

Refunds

We do not auto-refund unused time on a billing period. If you have a special circumstance such as an accidental renewal or a technical issue, write to the studio and we will look at it case by case.

Payment methods

The platform accepts major credit and debit cards through Stripe. Your card details are stored and processed by Stripe and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Invoices and receipts

After each successful payment, a receipt is emailed to the billing address on your account. You can also download past receipts from Settings > Billing > Payment history.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, you will receive an email with instructions to update your payment method. Your subscription stays active for a short grace period while you resolve the issue.

Grandfathered subscribers

If you were already on the previous Pro or Premium plan before the change to Early Bird, your subscription continues exactly as before. Same price, same features, same billing cycle. The Early Bird change does not affect existing subscriptions.
